FALL 2020 // MEXICO CITY, MEXICO
FALL 2020 // MIDDLE EAST
A cohort of 4-8 participants will be led through:
Each cohort will be exposed to some of the tools necessary for cross-cultural ministry, such as:
Global Semester is an intentional 8-week internship for those who are considering God’s calling to serve in cross-cultural ministry locally or globally. This experience is an opportunity to “test out” a lifestyle of prayer, discipleship and ministry while being guided and accompanied by a mentoring couple. This 8-week program is cohort-based and aims to develop emerging leaders to embody the Alliance values of being Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered and mission-focused in a cross-cultural setting.
The Global Semester program launches two times a year and will visit a different field each time.
Each cohort will also experience communal living, peer discipleship and one-on-one coaching.
The main activities of every Global Semester internship are praying and learning, while participation in available ministries will vary from field to field.
Global Semester is ideal for:
CHURCHES that identified emerging leaders in their community who are now considering the next steps of discerning God’s call to cross-cultural ministry
STUDENTS who are searching for internship placements as part of their studies and training at a post-secondary Christian institution
Global Semester is open to any individual, couple and family who have had at least one short term ministry trip experience and some local cross-cultural ministry experience, and are now sensing God calling them to a deeper commitment and participation.
