Location Profile

Latin America is a diverse region of over 650 million people spanning more than twenty countries from Mexico to the southern tip of Argentina. With a rich history shaped by indigenous cultures, colonial influence, and global exchange, Latin America is known for its vibrant music, art, food, and traditions. Nearly half the population is under the age of 30, making it one of the youngest regions in the world.

While Christianity is the predominant religion and most would identify as Catholic or Protestant, many young people are growing up in a cultural context that is religious in name but distant from an active relationship with Christ. Amid rapid urbanization, social inequality, and economic challenges, an entire generation of over 300 million youth is searching for purpose, identity, and hope.

RAY & CINDY PERRY

Regional Coordinators Sun Region

For over 25 years, Ray and Cindy Perry have served with the C&MA in Canada as pastors in youth ministry and missions, and now in Mexico City with Envision.

They are passionate about reaching the lost and feel called to journey alongside both Canadians and Mexicans in fulfilling God’s mandate to make disciples of all nations.

Ray and Cindy love to ride motorcycles, hang out with friends, and take every opportunity they can to spend time with their adult kids.

Dan & Jenica

Regional Coordinators Sun Region

Dan and Jenica, along with their two kids, have served in Mexico City since 2016. Short-term experiences, like mission trips, internships and apprenticeships, played an important role in their personal development and their journey toward serving God cross-culturally as International Workers.

Their great joy is to model, teach and provide opportunities (like internships!) where people can grow in their relationship with Triune God, their understanding of how God has created them and how God is inviting them to partner with Him in his mission of making all things new.
