Short Description

Taste & See is an opportunity for a local Canadian church family to take its first steps to Global Missions through the Alliance. Teams will learn from experienced International Workers (IWs) on what it means to live out the Gospel in a cross-cultural context, and it is an opportunity for your youth, young adults, and members to see God’s work around the world. By partnering with IWs engaged in the advancement of the Global Church, your team can explore on how they can build a relationship with other churches through their testimony, skills, and prayer. From beginning to end, teams receive quality training during their time overseas as they learn to build long-term bridges through short-term engagements with followers of Christ everywhere in the world.

This is for a church or group

looking to engage and partner with International Workers on global missions:

Location Profile

Mexico City is one of the world’s most populous mega-cities with an estimated twenty-four million inhabitants living inside an area of 750 square kilometers. It is situated over 7,400 feet above sea level and is one of oldest cities in the world. Mexican culture has significant influence in Latin America and the world.

Although close to 90 percent of the people here would consider themselves Catholic and live in a highly “religious” context, few people in Mexico City are actively involved in the local church and have yet to experience the Gospel.

RAY & CINDY PERRY

Regional Coordinators Sun Region

For over 25 years, Ray and Cindy Perry have served with the C&MA in Canada as pastors in youth ministry and missions, and now in Mexico City with Envision.

They are passionate about reaching the lost and feel called to journey alongside both Canadians and Mexicans in fulfilling God’s mandate to make disciples of all nations.

Ray and Cindy love to ride motorcycles, hang out with friends, and take every opportunity they can to spend time with their adult kids.

Dan & Jenica

Regional Coordinators Sun Region

Dan and Jenica, along with their two kids, have served in Mexico City since 2016. Short-term experiences, like mission trips, internships and apprenticeships, played an important role in their personal development and their journey toward serving God cross-culturally as International Workers.

Their great joy is to model, teach and provide opportunities (like internships!) where people can grow in their relationship with Triune God, their understanding of how God has created them and how God is inviting them to partner with Him in his mission of making all things new.
