The Envision Summit is a gathering for 18–28 year olds who want to be stretched and formed as they discern God’s call on their lives.
This year, we’re exploring what it means to live Kingdom Rooted — Mission Sent—to be deeply grounded in Jesus while actively participating in what He is already doing in the world. Together, we’ll worship, pray, learn, and listen for God’s voice as we grow in clarity, courage, and calling.
Come connect with peers from across Canada, be encouraged by stories of God at work, and be shaped through teaching, creative expression, and intentional community. This is more than a conference—it’s a shared experience designed to help you take your next step in God’s Kingdom, locally and globally.
Speakers & Leaders
We’re curating a lineup of speakers and worship leaders who will invest in both your spiritual formation and your leadership development. These are people who live what they teach—and who will challenge, encourage, and walk with you as you discern your next steps.

Key Note Speakers
Heather Hahn-Cabezas
Heather has loved serving in Mexico City, where she’s been involved in church planting and the Brave Heart ministry with Indigenous families. More recently, she’s had the joy of walking alongside the Mexican church as they make disciples around the world. She’s passionate about seeing the church experience God beyond the four walls and watching others encounter Him for the very first time. Heather and her husband, Andrés, along with their two boys, Lucas and Teodoro, love hosting friends on their rooftop and celebrating taco Tuesday every day.
Kyle Trigg
Kyle Trigg is a pastor at First Alliance Church in Calgary, where he provides preaching and ministry leadership within a multi-campus, multi-lingual church family. He’s passionate about the church, people, faith, culture—and where they all intersect. Kyle is married to Chelsey, and together they have four young kids. He loves good coffee (but won’t complain about bad), reading, road cycling, and making slightly boujee pizza at home on Friday nights with his family. He’s also currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary.
Worship Leader
Todd Postlethwaite
Since 2021, Todd has been serving as a worship pastor at Rockpointe Church in his hometown of Calgary. He loves creating spaces where people can slow down, behold the beauty of God, and experience the joy of being in His presence. An avid songwriter, Todd also loves attempting to express the things of God through song.
Break-Out Speakers
Dan & Jenica Van Essen
We’re Dan and Jenica, and together with our two boys, Elliot and Arie, we’ve spent the past several years serving in Mexico City through church planting, youth ministry, and internship development. This summer, we’re moving to Madrid, Spain, to help launch a new Envision Canada site across Europe. Our passion is helping people hear God’s voice, step out in faith, and live out Jesus-centered lives in practical, everyday ways. We love building authentic community and walking alongside others as they explore calling and grow in leadership.
Chris Throness
Chris serves as Director of Leader Formation for The Alliance Canada, where he partners with district and ministry leaders to develop pathways for calling, discipleship, and leadership development. He’s passionate about investing in emerging leaders and equipping them for meaningful ministry and long-term impact. Chris is married to Krista, and together they have three kids—Hannah, Micah, and Mattea. He’s also currently completing his Doctor of Ministry through Talbot School of Theology.
Paula Jones
Paula serves as Manager of Candidate Development with The Alliance Canada (International). She grew up in Alberta and later served in Asia with The Alliance, where she raised her family and led ministry teams. Since 2022, Paula has been coming alongside people who are exploring a call to international service. She loves listening to stories, helping others discover how God has uniquely wired them, and cheering people on as they step into what He’s calling them to. When she’s not working, Paula enjoys time with her adult kids, in-laws, and grandkids, along with beach walks, coffee chats, and painting.
Josiah Bokma
Originally from Nova Scotia, Josiah Bokma has spent his life investing in young adult leaders through discipleship, mentoring, and leader formation. He’s served as a missionary in Uganda and Nicaragua and previously worked as a chaplain at Redeemer University. Today, Josiah leads the Emmaus Road Network, where he coaches leaders and helps churches grow in discipleship, discernment, and leadership development. He’s happily married and a proud dad of three kids.
