Short Description

Interns in Vancouver are partnered with North Shore Alliance Church, a community involved in working with youth, children, new Canadians, people struggling with poverty and mental health issues, discipleship training, and outreach. Over the course of the internship, you will get to serve in an urban and diverse environment and be mentored weekly by an experienced staff. This internship offers individuals a highly relational opportunity to grow in their love for God, people, and ministry with the unique advantage of creating the internship according to your desired goals and needed experience. We'd love to be a part of what God is currently doing in your life by providing space for growth. There is a bi-vocational opportunity at this site. Interns will have an opportunity to apply for a bi-vocational internship to work for a member of NSAC (if you meet the job requirements) for 20 hours/week. This can help bring down the monthly cost of your internship. Spots are limited. We work to try to provide you with housing during your internship. If housing cannot be found, the cost per month is $1,600.

Is this you?

Location Profile

The multi-ethnic character of Vancouver allows leaders to learn how to cross cultures sensitively in order to build friendship and share the good news concerning Jesus. More than half of the population of Vancouver consider English as their second language. How do we partner with other thriving faith communities who worship Jesus in such cultural diversity?

Teams, Interns and apprentices will be placed in environments where passion for God, spiritual growth, and empowerment can be cultivated. How do you become spiritually vibrant and alive when the Church and its people are at the margins of society? You will have opportunity to explore the foundations of their identity in Christ as it relates to their unique personalities, insecurities, and ability to work in a team.
